Single-authored for JEMS, this article expands the concept of moral geography by investigating how moral considerations shape the mobility and settlement choices of diasporic Somalis. Drawing on seven months of ethnographic fieldwork in Turkey, I trace their migratory trajectories and previous relocations from Europe and North America, arguing that their hypermobility generates distinct moral landscapes. Through case studies of Somali fathers navigating transnational parenthood, I reconceptualize moral geography by integrating neo-nomadic mobility and existential concerns, challenging the traditional dichotomy of nomadism and sedentarism. This perspective foregrounds culturally situated moralities and contributes to a more inclusive understanding of mobility within migration studies.
