This single‑authored article conceptualizes positionality as a situational fieldwork practice shaped by relational cues. I introduce ‘hypervisible insiderness’ and qowmiyadda as conceptual tools that illuminate how communal codes and visibility choreograph insider research. This intervention contributes to ongoing efforts to articulate decolonial autoethnography and Somali‑centred methodological approaches.
